AbstractIn Vietnam nowadays, the quality in construction projects plays a crucial role in meeting the owner’s requirements. As a result, the aim of quality management should be to enhance the influence and productivity during the construction period in addition to improving the quality of construction projects. This study has expressed the concept of quality in construction, summarized the main elements that may influence the construction projects’ quality, the requirements of the Owner and its benefits. The analysis presented in this report was based on a real project in Viet Nam, and its discussion revolved around project quality performance from the design phase to construction phase. The main road to Khanh An Industrial Zone, Ca Mau province was a real case analyzed to find out what factors influenced the quality of the works, using the framework of quality management in Design and Constrution phases. This study also suggests some recommendations on the ways of ensuring better quality performance in construction projects.
