AbstractThis being a Special Purpose Machine is only suitable for the company for which it is designed. The purpose of this thesis was to design a fully integrated and automated hot stamp and barbell assembly machine, which presently are two different machines and can process only one type of wheel out of 12 wheel types. In this master's thesis, an attempt has been made to develop a methodology which includes design ideas from existing machines as well, to achieve the goal. When a project involves integration, the common attributes of the entities are to be considered and given priority while designing. Based on these common attributes the process can be developed and realized. In this project, the efficiency of the system is assayed to be increased. But due to very slight variations in the wheel sizes, change over factor is introduced along with time variation in mechanical parts operation along with the wheel. This system has been developed using a microcontroller connected to a PC, to increase the storage capacity of recorded machine analysis, ease in trouble shooting, and cost effectiveness with the trade off of increased cycle time. Also labor cost will is reduced to a certain extent. However with further improvements and realization of the system, the goal can be achieved
