AbstractWith equipments used in the industry and many other fields, after each working period, there might have a break period, that period of time is usually used for maintenance actions. In general, the break period is not enough for maintenance of all components in the system, hence, only some components are selected for maintenance during that period in order to maximize availability or minimize maintenance cost. This problem is referred to as selective maintenance problem. Firstly, this study developed the mathematical models for selective maintenance problem with single failure of each equipment in the system, and implemented them by Lingo program with input data of Sony Vietnam Company. Then, the simulation models with multi-failure of equipments in a planning period were introduced and implemented by RISKOptimizer. Finally, some recommendations were mentioned by considering numerical results and analyzing the effects of parameters in the proposed model
