| Abstract | The thesis describes women's participation in Inner Mongolia Grassland Management
Project since project implementation. The study attempts to honestly probe into the
problems of the womens they participated in project activities.
The Inner Mongolia Grassland Management Project goal is to improve the ongoing analysis
and implementation of grassland User Right policies and regulations to promote sustainable
and economic use of grassland resources in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
Building the natural asset base of the poorest quartile in the grasslands enables community to
capture the flows of income and non-income benefits provided by these assets, helping to
reduce poverty. In project implementation, women are playing important roles. Women
were encouraged to attend grassland management meetings in the demonstration
community. The possibility to access grassland use and management in the project area.
Furthermore, the findings from this study show that women's participation strengthens
their economic role, and which to a certain degree, empowers them.
Inner Mongolia Grassland Management Project highlights women's participation in kinds
of project activities within project processing. The importance of the project is establishing
and orgnizaining good community. Strengthening and improving the environment, women
should be and must be important role in the project implementation in successful. By
strengthening their economic roles, and increasing their ability to contribute to their family
support, empowers women to a certain extent in capability building, active in participation
in decision making within the household and outside in the community, participation in
public affairs and involvement in the local market. With these findings, the project
approach to environmental management is to be change of the potential environmental
impacts through women participation as well. |
