AbstractIntelligent transportation systems, or ITS, encompass a broad range of wireless and wire line communications-based information, control and electronics technologies. When integrated into the transpo1tation system infrastructure, and in vehicles themselves, these technologies help monitor and manage traffic flow, address and alleviate transportation congestion problems, provide alternate routes to travelers, enhance productivity, and save lives, time and money. Weight in motion technology, or WIM, which can provide vehicle weight information to ITS continuously, could be part of ITS. This paper generates a new method to measure vehicle weight onboard, which can weight the wheel load when vehicle is moving. Because weighed vehicles are moving, WIM sensors measure dynamic loads. On-board axle load indicator to suit most types of vehicles from car-derived vans through two-axle rigid to multi-axle rigid and articulated vehicles. On-board was designed to give accurate information, reliably, at a viable cost. In this study, I will measure the wheel load and leaf-spring shape change, analyze the data, and write a C program to calculate wheel load continuously by detecting leaf-spring shape change. Some potential methods to measure the vehicle weight to provide the real-time weight control are being investigated; here is just am reasonable mode.
