Abstract | In this master project, we will attempt to solve container unloading scheduling problem of Nabati Vietnam Company Limited (NBT VN). Imported goods of NBT VN are packed inside multiple containers. Some containers are packed with single type of goods (SKU) while others are packed with multiple SKUs. Containers arrive at container yard (CY) in different periods and thus have different release times, unloading times and due dates (date that a container has to be removed from CY or will be charged for demurrage fee). The objective of this project is to find a method/ procedure to schedule which will generate minimum total cost (direct logistics cost and sales opportunity cost) under the constraints of warehouse space and working hours. This model will also have to take warehouse storage space and unloading capacity into account. |
