| Abstract | This thesis presents a technique to measure the stroke of spiral signal in writing reference signal information during a multi-disk writing (MDW) seeder operation, which is a servo writing process in the self-servo writing method. The coefficient of variance monitoring and ramp detection techniques are designed and programmed in order to automatically control a magnetic head arm assembly in a high precision scale. The start and the end of spiral signal are used to confirm the stroke range. The ramp detection track is implemented to measure the spiral track shift. |
