Abstract | Nowadays, the usage rate of the satellite communication devices is increased sharply and the manufactures try to produce more and more devices related to communication. Therefore, the quality assurance of the communication link is going to be a question. In communication field, the propagation path between satellite and devices can determine the performance of this satellite link. Most of the satellite fading researches are based on rain, cloud and path loss of the fixed satellite stations received line of sight (LOS) signal. Unfortunately, there are more propagation factors for the satellite station due to the motion of the devices and their environment changes. Therefore, there are several degradation due to the blockage of LOS signal and multipath fading especially because of the roadside trees and buildings. The evaluation of the performance of the satellite link can be assigned as Rayleigh fading, Rician fading, Lognormal fading and Addictive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN). This research will simulate effective land satellite station fading model for predicting of percentage of Bit Error Rate (BER) based on energy to noise ratio (Eb/No). This simulator is based on a random number generator that generates data sets to analyze the performance of the propagation channel with Markov chain. |
