Abstract | Open Architecture CNC Machine development using Open CNC software is to distribute the intelligent capability into the peripheral hardware for example intelligent digital servo drive, intelligent sensor. According to the need to modify the capacities of controller, users agree that simply getting process data off the machine would be a big step forward. Developing and integrating of the OpenCNC software based on an alternative OAC methodology for ARD-TB400 and three-axis open architecture based milling prototype machine were investigated in this work. In addition, some experiments of the SERVO; Profibus; Basic Stamp control 1/0 port using Visual Basic to control of ARD-TB400 by using Open CNC software were also included and developed simultaneously. The research has been found the developing and integrating of the OpenCNC software for the ARD-TB400 machine in a efficient way; Some possible ways how to apply Profibus on OpenCNC software by using PCL -722 devices, Wago Profibus devices and Siemens Profibus devices; Application of the Netmeeting to remote between two PC and for OpenCNC software. In spite of lack of research equipment and device, for instance, we have only the Automata SERCOS interface card and watchdog timer card and experiment only for the SERVO control of the ARD-TB400 machine by using OpenCNC. But the study result showed that OpenCNC can control the motion of the axis of ARD-TB400 without any difficulty, which is same as using the Indramat CNC controller and one more setting up for Emergency Button throughout Watchdog timer card.
