AbstractThe term of "packaging" has become quite popular in today's production, and its technology has also been greatly developed. However, the application of packaging technology is very different and mostly depending on nature of the product. For dry powder products, packaging equipment has been lmown as a combination of form, fill and seal machines, in which the filler is considered as the heart of the line. A design of a form-fill-seal line is strictly dependent on specifications of the product and packaging requirements. Of course, a different design leads to different cost of the machine. In production, cost saving is normally to be considered as the necessity, but only cost saving is not enough. In production of toxic products such as pesticide, a machine should replace the manual work for a long-term strategy even the manual work may cost cheaper. Therefore, this study aimed to solve the packaging problem in the production of fungicide products at CTU Agro-Chemical Company. The main purpose of this study was to do a synthetic design of a filling system for two paiiicular products of Copper-B and Copper-zinc. To meet the target of the study, some tests to determine specifications of the products and mechanical models were carried out to confirm the reality of the study. This study also covered on both technical and economic aspects of the filling machine, so both machine manufacture and customer (the Company) can take it as a useful document for their decisions.
