Abstract | Semiconductor industry is one of the most complex, large scale and competitive industries where new advances in Automation technology are applied continuously Time and quality is now a major criterion for industry for global competence. Automation has proven its indispensability by answering the most of issues on this matter. Automation is the key to this competence. However, though the technology has increased in almost all aspects, it has not effectively reduced the number of human intervention. This greatly emphasizes the fact that programmable logical controllers technology alone as applied in this field is not sufficient. The present research work not has not only looked in to the automating the process through the programmable logic controllers, but also tried to visualize the parameters through the application of concept of Human-Machine Interface with Windows Control Center. This technology will help in reducing the human errors and save time while monitoring the parameters of the reliability lab equipments. Implementation of the this technology would ensure higher reliability of the system in the sense that the presence of operators and other human intervention is lessened. This implies that the system is exposed to lesser possibilities for errors due to human exhaustion or without going to the actual machines. The combination of PLC and WinCC offer an advanced technology with potential for automation, with HMI visualization of the process. |
