Abstract | Myanmar is a developing country situated in South East Asia. In the real situation of technology policy trend in Myanmar, there are substantial influences of political changes over time. Only recently has technology policy come to be increasingly seen as an important focus for the development planning strategy. This research study explores the technology policy trend in Myanmar and the way the technology policy changes influencing the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), by conducting a direct primary survey through questionnaires and interviews to a few SMEs which are located in the industrial zones in Myanmar. The results from the exploratory study of these SMEs in Myanmar are expected to contribute a new and effective approach for development planning. |
