AbstractConstruction industry in India is the second largest and provides lot of work opportunities to many people in India. Moreover, the construction industry has reported many numbers of accident/ injuries in India. The work in this construction sector is dangerous and risky for the workers who are not following the construction safety correctly. The construction safety is very important for all the workers those who work in the site. Moreover, it is the responsibility of construction project management to provide the safety for the workers working in the site. In the Indian context the construction safety is mostly limited to the large size construction projects there are few medium and small size construction projects which follow safety. The safety is Considered at the starting stages of the construction. Later, the management do not follow the safety properly it may be due to lack of budget or some other reasons but only few construction companies are following the safety until the project finish. The Construction projects not following safety is one of the main reasons for the accidents that happen during the work. The present study mainly concentrates on the safety risks and the safety precautions that are faced and followed by the construction projects in India. Here the research is about to investigate the safety risks that are causing injuries/ accidents for workers and providing safety precautions to avoid the accident/ injury causation. In this research the researcher observed seven risky construction activities and found out the safety risks that are faced by the construction workers. And then to find out whether these safety precautions are followed in safety management for workers the researcher conducted the Content validity Ratio to find out the efficiency of usage. And finally, the researcher developed the safety precautions for all the safety risks that are faced by workers and recommend these safety precautions to all the construction workers.
