Abstract | The effective strategies for the adoption of advanced technology in Myanmar construction companies which run their business including building construction projects of contractors are mainly focused in this research study. First of all, 16 strategies for advanced technology adoption, 6 perceptions to adopt advanced technology, and 7 barriers to advanced technology adoption are practically found out. Beside these all of factors are checked by the expert form managing directors and approved that these factors are very important to consider in adoption of advanced technology for construction companies in Myanmar. This study is conducted with quantitative approach by collecting data from 70 Myanmar contractor construction companies. Face to face questionnaire surveys are conducted with higher management level to analyze the effect of strategies for adopting advanced technology to the company performance. Descriptive statistical analysis is used for ranking to know which are mostly applied among the factors and correlation analysis is utilized to fulfill the objective of the research. As a result of the findings of this research, every strategies factor has significant positive correlation with company performance. Therefore, it is pointed out that every factor should be considered creatively to adopt in practical situations in construction companies and also to increase competition level in construction business. |
