AbstractMany organizations want to improve their project management processes from initiating stage to closing stage. Project management maturity model (PMMM) which make recognized in improving in a systematic way in project management practices and processes. Project management maturity model provides a path way as a framework to attain excellence in project management. Four areas of knowledge such as human resource, quality, cost, and time management have been deliberated in this study among ten knowledge areas defined by PMI in PMBOK. To examine the maturity level, maturity model of PM Solutions‘ has been used. Four cases have been conducted to evaluate the impact of project management maturity in Myanmar. To examine deeply in project management maturity level apart from in depth interview, project papers were also used. The result has been found that project management maturity of Myanmar building construction projects in average is 3.41. The relationship with iron triangle project performance and project management maturity (PMM) has also been studied. It has been found that time and cost management maturities have relationships on time and cost performance respectively. Recommendation for improving project management maturity has also been made in this study
