Abstract | Competitive bidding procedures of public construction projects are currently
paper-based transactions. In Thailand, the transaction is executed in an official
building, and usually has only two parties in attendance: officials and bidders.
However, the bidding transaction should be extended to the third patty's sight,
especially people who may feel interested to watch it. This thesis attempts to propose
an improvement to existing procedures by employing Information and
Communication Technology to develop Internet-based bidding procedures. The new
bidding processes have been put on a web site. The web pages of the web site are
written and programmed as Active Server Pages (ASP), so they are dynamic web
pages that can connect to database and automatically interact with users. |
