Abstract | At recent time in Vietnam, Quality management has become the most essential concern for project manager because defects or failures in constructed facilities can result in very big costs. But not all the approaches to Quality Control and Quality Assurance are equally effective. To achieve customer’s requirement and accomplish a high quality project within a reasonable time, cost limit we need to have an effective Quality management system. In this research, I would introduce the theory of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in bridge construction as well as the benefits and difficulties in implementing Quality management. The project that was introduced in this research based on the real project in Can Tho – The pedestrian bridge project in can tho city. I would summarize the project information, responsibilities of project team and demonstrate the Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures that were applied in Pedestrian bridge project. The I would discuss the implementation of Quality Control and Quality Assurance from design to construction phase, analyze quality problems arisen in implementing Quality management and propose an effective framework for Quality management in construction. At the final chapter, I would discuss strengths and weaknesses of this specific project and propose recommendations to improve quality performance |
