Abstract | Myanmar is thriving towards the equal development in all of its regions and states. In order to do so, the basic infrastructures are vital for the quick development of the country. But investment in the infrastructure especially in the transport infrastructure such as construction or upgrading of road needs a huge financial investment. Applying Official Development Assistance from foreign countries like Japan, many capitals are flown into this business, especially in the industrial estate project development. There are many factors affecting the success of the project, in order to achieve the better result in term of better quality, saving cost, time, safety, project management is considered as one of the most important tools. Under project circumstances, there are many challenges and difficulties that not only the beginning learners, but also the experience ones have to overcome. It would become a disaster, if we do not manage the risks or use the potential opportunities, if any, to drive the project on the right way. In road development, there are many risks affecting time, cost, and quality and project profit from initial to close out phase. In this study the project approaches and the risks occurred under Official Development Assistance from JICA are the objectives. The result of study at least can help the beginning learners how to manage the project effectively and to ensure the beneficial outcomes. |
