Abstract | The market of foods is becoming extremely competitive day by day. One of the most important role of food products is packaging, there are many functions can gratify the customers such as protection, information transmission, security, and marketing. The fried chicken sauce is our product that our company will launch on Thai market with a new kind of market is a strong point. Study packaging design can raise the volume of selling of our product by their functions. The main objectives are packaging and label design, packaging line design, feasibility planning, and study retail market for starting a business. The one-on-one interview survey is used to investigate the score in QFD, QFD is the method to rank functions of sauce packaging and packaging will design based on QFD result. As a result, four main needs of packaging from customers are showing mascot, showing nutrition, easy using packaging, and strong packaging and three main specifications are material of label, attractive from labeling, and material of the bottle. Design number ten of sauce packaging was investigated. Then, concept selection will be used to select the best design with the highest score. Design number ten is the highest score with four main functions are showing mascot as the design of the bottle, showing nutrition as the design of labels, easy using packaging as flip top cap and bottle neck, strong packaging as glass bottles. Three main specifications are material of label as shiny and colorful label sticker, attractive from labeling as design of label, and material of the bottle as a glass bottle. 3D CAD model was generated by Solid Work software to be the prototype. A packaging line model was created to understand the capacity and cost of investment. Moreover, the feasibility is the most important role of starting a business. Fixed cost, variable cost, and payback time are stated in this planning. |
