| Abstract | Channel impulse response has been an important factor that determines how different the transmitted and received signal will be. To have a small difference between them, the use of pilotsymbolsisnecessarilyunavoidable. Pilotsymbolsareusedtoestimatechannelandthis leads to a decrease in Bit Error Rate (BER). In this study, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO)-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and OFDM channel estimation are investigated over time-varying and frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channel whichfollowsJakes’modelfrom(Cho,Kim,Yang,&Kang,2010)andthecomparisonsbetweentwopilotdesignsaretobeshownindifferentsimulationscenarios. TwobytwoMIMO system is implemented with Space-Frequency Block Code (SFBC) coding. The BER varies according to the pilot designs over Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). |
