AbstractIn Vietnam, there are a lots small and medium private finishing contractors in construction industry. Many of them are family company which tend to put family member in to manager position although they do not have management skill. These company often do well job in the birth stage by emphasizing on making product and sale to market or installation at construction site. The company grow up in both age and structure but top management still apply what they did well in the past to current situation. Therefore, these company open have problem with management skill, strategy and produce ineffective business process. This report studied DTD firm, a finishing contractor in Vietnam, was established 10 years ago. DTD did good job in first five year but they got many problems relate with management and strategy in late five year. Firstly, reviewing operation status of DTD by breakdown financial performance, human productivity and number of project per year to see the reduction of revenue in late five year. Then conducting SWOT analysis, TOWS matrix to find out the appropriate strategies for DTD, proposing roadmap to apply in DTD so as help it improvement. Next step is conducting Five forces analysis to help DTD knows the industry structure and competitor level in the industry, so as find solutions and strategy to DTD. Afterthat, mapping DTD business process by flow chart to analyze these process and investigate the critical process issues which make delays, cost overrun and lost tender, then redesign process to make it better. Finally, proposing the implement plan of improvement to DTD to prevent them back to routine work
