Mathematical Modeling of slider Tag character redognition

AbstractIn the Head Gimbals Assembly (HGA), HSA and HDD assembly process, the purpose of Optical Character Recognize (OCR) are to detect the slider tag character which refers to the serial number of slider. OCR data is significantly important to the product quality and lean manufacturing system which can trace the data history in Head OCR Serial number Traceability system (HOST). In this research project, the problem of unidentified and misidentified characters tag will be studied. The unidentified or misidentified problem is caused by the blurred image and incoming defect on Slider Tag but physical is good HGA. To solve the problem, the mathematical models for the deblurring image and the blur function will be literature studied. In the propose system, the primary key is the Algorithm to enhance image defect case i.e. blurred, dark, bright, angle case etc. The benefit of enhancement the blurred image system in the machine vision will perform to read the slider tag number with higher reading accuracy and reduce the mixing product problem by referring in serial number of serial number. In summary, outcome of the algorithms, which is the program in Visual basic and Math lab, make the decision for separating the case of image. The algorithm is not only improve the reading performance, but also maintain the processing time of re-reading OCR process.
