Abstract | The telecommunication sector in Vietnam has been recently exposed to competition from
to private and foreign participation. It has been growing very rapidly over the last decade.
EVNTelecom Transmission Center (ETC) is one of the leading service providers in voice
and data services in Vietnam market. Under the process of transferring to a joint-stock
enterprise, in the near future, ETC will set up a Network Operation Center. ETC as well as
the Network Operation Center should meet the international operational standard
requirements. Innovation and customer satisfaction in terms of quality of service will
support the development of the company.
However, the company’s ineffective of the network operation is a problem. The network
operation indicators are low in comparison with the other competitors as well as
international standards.
Internal factors as workforce, organization structure, job evaluation, training system,
promotion policy, working process and network management system for the network
operation activities relate to the ineffectiveness of network operation. ETC will need to
maintain high performance of network operation and reliable and high quality services for
the company to be the dominant data service provider in the Vietnam market. |
