Abstract | Maintenance is one of the most important activities in production organization, especially for oil and gas industry, the major objective of maintenance is to keep the all the facilities are in highest productive level, prolonged life service and optimum production and safe condition. Another objective should be taken into account is to optimize the maintenance resources including labor cost, materials, energy. Established in 2007 with the major business is operation and maintenance the gas distribution network to supply natural gas for industrial household in industrial zones via pipeline networks, Petrovietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution J.S.C (PVGASD) has continuously expanded the existing and developing new pipeline networks, the number of customer and volume of gas sale has increased respectively. After over 6 years of operation, there was no serious incident or accident happened to pipeline networks, it’s really a remarkable achievement for a young company doing high risk business in oil and gas industry like PVGASD. However, from recent assessment; there were some problems need to be solved such as alarming number of equipment break down case, high number of non-conformance report in operation management many arisen in internal safety audit, the amount of outstanding job was higher than acceptance level. The objective of this research is to give an overview of maintenance management of PVGASD and figure out some outstanding related to maintenance planning and scheduling. The input data for the research were collected from historical logbook of operation and security, maintenance schedule reviewing, questionnaire survey. Throughout data analysis, the research has identified some problem in maintenance planning and scheduling and develop several solutions to improve the effectiveness and productivity of maintenance planning and scheduling as well as general maintenance management of PVGASD. |
