Abstract | The Electricity supply plays an important role in socio-economic development in rural areas. At the present, the electricity supply in rural areas faces a number of problems ranging from investment capital, management model, to power price. One of the methods to improve electricity supply in rural areas is to increase investment for rural electricity system. This research analyzes and proposes ways to solve the problems in the investment for the electricity system development in rural areas by using a combination of methodologies and new approaches from the iEMBA program. The research focuses on the current rural electricity system investment, analysis of the problems in investment and an introduction to solutions. Finally, the research will propose solution to invest in rural electricity system in the future. This study will help EVN have a policy for the Government in rural power investment sector. This research also indicates potential choice of rural power investment. This will ease the cost burden in rural power investment sector of EVN in particular and in rural electricity system development. EVN will cooperate with other organizations to ensure electricity supply in rural areas. |
