AbstractPower development master plan for cities and provinces is done every 5 years in order to build strategic development of local power in the next five years. 2009 and 2010 are the important years in constructing power development master plans. These two years have a lot of construction planning projects at provincial and state level, as well as being the time for the planners to have an overview and evaluate the implementation of previous and assess the accuracy in forecasting the power demand of previous plans. Almost power master plans had high quality, power demand forecasting was relatively accurate, but some of them were not qualified, especially the accuracy in forecasting the power demand. How to improve the accuracy in forecasting the power demand of power development master plans? This is the concern of all consulting companies and the author. The project report will assess the implementation of two power development master plans of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; along with analyze all steps in the process of forecasting power demand of power development master plans to find the answers to that question.
