Abstract | The Pharmaceutical Industry is a special industry provides products to protect health and treat disease. These products relate to the healthcare of people and the pharmaceutical business requires special procedures in management, different than other products. Pharmaceutical firms have to follow strict international standards, such as GMP (good manufacture practice), GSP (good store practice) in order to meet the quality standard. The issues in pharmaceutical business management also require special KPIs to identify the problems and solve them. The improvement in management to increase the competitive advantages is the concern of the Board Management. Diethelm Vietnam Co., Ltd (DVL) is a 100% FDI Company with over 10 years operating in Vietnam. The average growth rate of turnover of the company is 30% yearly. The DVL is one of leaders in pharmaceutical distribution in Vietnam, but in fact it is not really the first company in pharmaceutical distribution industry in Vietnam and Asia Pacific. In IT development, modernizing through IT equipment and management system is the first priority in investment of the Board Management. With the ongoing investment, DVL is really a strong partner of suppliers and competitors in the Vietnam pharmaceutical market. This research analyzes and evaluates the operation of Diethelm Vietnam Co., Ltd through critical KPIs of the company and gives some possible solutions for the company in order to meet the strict requirements of customers and suppliers gaining competitiveness in the long run. |
