Abstract | The research focuses on analyses the safety management systems and the health and safety impact in oil and gas industry. The aim of project is to minimize occupational casualties in the industry by exploring the social science paradigms of human action. The concept of “safety consciousness” is proposed in this research, along with analysis for a practical approach to safety based on its findings, with the aim being to reduce the number of incidents in the oil industry. Safety management in oil and gas industry, special work in the offshore environment is always one of the critical issue for any Company in this field. Therefore, this dissertation shall focus on those impacts on safety via doing the survey in Amsito Oilwell Services Company. The research analysis after collected all the information from the survey, the author would discovery several factor of accident and hazard properly occurs in offshore which is will find out the right direction to avoid, to prevent any accident or danger in working environment. When define all the problem, the safety manager will have specific perspective improvement and enhance the safety work environment. The research strategy I would apply quantitative and qualitative methodology. The quantitative methodology to analysis on safety management, it would collect from the company’s data and the qualitative methodology I will go focus on interviews senior managers from the top to managers division and employees in the company. Working in oil and gas industry, special offshore job is always facing with various accidents and hazards. If any one goes wrong or do not follow the company safety policy, it will be a disaster for them and others. Therefore, regarding on this matter, the author would like to analysis safety management in Amsito and provide a new approach to improve the safe. Putting theories into practical reality to increase somebody’s awareness of safety, special endeavor from the management level who are influence a lot on staff level. |
