Abstract | ScanCom Vietnam Ltd. was originally established in 1995, as a representative office. ScanCom started in Vietnam market as a trader, which it is now the top company in Vietnam buying outdoor furniture from different factories in central areas. And now, ScanCom Vietnam is developing as a top manufacturer itself, produce and export furniture to most over the world. Therefore, ScanCom’s performance on right quality, on time delivery and shipping documents, and price wise are the main factors for ScanCom to compete with other customers. Production planning and monitoring has an important role to maintain the objectives in a lowest level to improve ScanCom competition ability with others. However, the performance is not much improved, and management only found out the mistake at a later stage of production, which solutions could not be done in time to secure the situation. In order to find out the root cause of the issues, the research study is required to find out ways to solve the problems. Based on the study of Axapta basic functions and analysis of its weakness and threats, together with strengths and opportunities, a recommendation is given to production planning and monitoring department, to extend ScanCom competition, and its long term strategy. The solution is being able to apply in all ScanCom subsidiaries to have same strategy all over ScanCom location. |
