Abstract | Gas Operation Division is a member of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture, its operation is focusing on providing lifting gas for oil production and export gas to onshore plants. Besides that, company also performs the management and implementation of gas facility construction project which Vietsovpetro executes for external organizations. Although, company has gained certain achievement in the project management and implementation field, it still has been facing many problems in this area which restrict the project performance. Amongst these problems, the author would like to concentrate on issues in project procurement management for his research. The major purpose of this study is to identify the problems which Gas Operation Division is facing in project procurement management. In order to achieve this target, data and information will be collected by reviewing company regulations, report and by interviewing colleagues. The data are then analyzed to find out causes of these problems. Finally, based on the identified problems and causes, the author would like to propose some appropriate solutions and recommend to the company management in order to improve the current situation in project procurement management. |
