AbstractTechnology is a key to success in high-tech companies. Currently, technology is developing rapidly in Vietnam, especially in telecom. Ericsson is one of the most successful companies in Vietnam in telecom industry. The company entered Vietnam in 1993 and has developed rapidly since that time. Ericsson win contracts with many mobile network suppliers in Vietnam such as Mobifone, Vinaphone, Viettel …Ericsson provides telecom equipments and setup mobile networks for these suppliers. The resources for these projects are very big, ranging from human to infrastructure. At that time (2008) the number of employees at Ericsson were nearly 300. However, this number has increased rapidly since then, and it is about 800 nowadays. The current IT system that used at Ericsson Vietnam cannot satisfy this large number of users because the system was designed for 300 users and doesn’t have enough resource to support for the new users. As a result, there are many difficulties facing the company, including the issues of information technology system such as IT system, support services center. This study analyzes the current IT system at Ericsson and finds out the possible problems and proposes solutions for improvement.
