Abstract | Vinacomin group is one of the largest state-owned group of Vietnam, doing business in a various field in which coal exploration is the core business. In the circumstance that Vinacomin has to follow the world coal market in comsuming coal products, there is a need to control the production cost effectively for the most competitive price. Being working for Vinacomin for more than six years, and being sent by Vinacomin to this EMBA program, I would like to contribute something to this issue. That is the basis of choosing this topic because input materials account for the big proportion of coal production cost, which is about 35% - 40%. Currently, Vinacomin CPCs are using experiential method of inventory management which is no longer suitable in today business and which needs a revolution. I attended the classes on subject “supply chain management” presented by Dr. Vatcharapol Sukhotu. From his lectures, I am very happy to find the issue for my final project and I am confident that this project is applicable when it is finalized. |
