AbstractAs we know, electricity plays an extremely important role in society, thus providing timely and adequate amount of electricity for consumption load is a big problem that Dak Nong's authorities need to have specific plans. For this, we must do forecasting as initial basis for preparation of the next necessary works. The main purpose of this study is to focus on the quantitative analysis of forecasting techniques and to select an appropriate method to help do forecast of electric power consumption of Dak Nong in 2016. The forecasts are based on the figures of commercial electricity consumption of Dak Nong province in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 that was generated by Dak Nong Power Company. When the forecast of electricity consumption in 2016 can be derived, it will be compared with the amount of electric power production of existing hydropower plants in the province. Base on this, Dak Nong's authorities can derive the distribution and regulation plans between source and load reasonably.
