Human resource stratergy of local incooperation in Standard Chartered Bank

AbstractIn quarter forth of year 2008, although Vietnam economics had been heavily effect by global economic downturn, however year 2007 and first three quarters year 2008 also exciting market of banking industry. In such background of Vietnam economics, it has been appearing as an emerging market and potential financial services and promising business portfolio for banking investment. The government also supports for the trend of banking development in Vietnam as WTO integration, many Foreigner Banks have the licenses for local incorporation such as ANZ, HSBC, Standard Chartered Banks (SCB), three of four top Foreigner Banks in Vietnam recently, from a branches with a limitation headcounts, these banks are in a demand of 450% headcount increase to meet their demand of local incorporation Banks in Vietnam. To response of government supporting and promising of potential market, it is not only of Foreigner banks such as HSBC, ANZ, Standard Chartered banks and but also other big banks as Citi bank, Masilia Hong Leong bank, and other international banks from China, Malaysia market and they have been submitting the proposal for local incorporation. Moreover other financial and securities firms want to invest more money to Vietnam, it is promising a lot of works for Vietnamese labor in Banking industry. These are opportunities for the employees chose their right placement for their career development as well as benchmarking their value than ever. Like other Banks which have been given the licenses from government, the Standard Chartered Bank has been focusing on Human Recourse Strategy as well as its planning how to retain existing talent employees and how to pool the resource for SCB local incorporation with demand up to 450%. This is really a challenges task of Humane Resource in “hot’ market of labour shortage and high attrition.
