AbstractThe good-to-great companies pay scant attention to managing change, motivating people, or creating alignment. Under the right conditions, the problems of commitment, alignment, motivation and change largely melt away. The good-to-great companies have no name, tag line, launch event, or program to signify their transformations. Greatness is not a function of circumstance. Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice. Oriflame Asia has started the journey to transform from a good company to a great company. This began in April 2008 and success of the project will be reviewed in September 2009. During this period we have agreed to an action plan at the market and region level, which will be followed up in monthly meetings. The key parts of this are the implementation of business processes, creating world class management teams, setting the execution culture and how to prepare to handle high growth and maintain service levels. People are very important in our business and we are focusing hard to put the right people in the right positions and wrong people off the team. We are sure that with the right people and clear direction with focused implementation the company will create an environment to transform Oriflame Asia from a good company to great company.
