| Abstract | Large-scale traffic monitoring system is a prototype software system that gathers streams of vehicle data on the expressway observation end-points, stores them, and presents them on Web browser in a transportation matrix, Origin-Destination matrix format, with the use of Apache Hadoop ecosystem technology as an analytic back-end. The aim of this research is to provide the useful information for transportation engineers to improve traffic flow efficiency, logistic operation analysis, future investment analysis or any other additional plans. |
