Abstract | Micro hydro power is one of the best alternatives in renewable energy. It is popular to electrify rural area or isolated industrial area. Moreover it is used to supply additional power to the grid. However, most of the plant is controlled by manual conventional method. That causes severe problems like generator burning. In this research, a new control technique of Impulse Turbine with servo valve is described. Beside, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is used to make it Automatic Generation Control. Then various kinds of mechanical and electrical faults are discussed and some of this applied for the model. Hence in this research, a computerized automatic control system is provided with PID control technique which gives the more flexibility, reliability and the efficiency to the system. |
