AbstractThis research is aim to improve the quality of international funded projectin ongoing project of Myanmar in project management stages. The scope of this study is under the international funded DBB project under bridge department of the ministry of construction in Myanmar funded by JICA. The qualitative data analysis method is used for methodology of this research. The case study was choosing according to the chance of permission to study the project by international funded project and as it is the only ongoing construction start project, New Thaketa Bridge construction project was selected for case study. The data for this research is achieved by interviewing, observe documents and site of the case study. After the mapping data, researcher use standard responsibilities checklists for each project participant‟s organization from ASCE Manuals in order to evaluate the responsibilities fulfillmentin this case. Reason and effect analysis research was implement on unfulfilled responsibilities of this case and the rating of the effect to define the quality of project was depending on time, cost, quality of product and satisfaction of each project participants and the result which was verified by the experts of project participants in this case from different organizations. The most negative effect rating was pinpoint and the responsibilities related with this are defined as key responsibilities which necessary to fulfill in this case in order to improve the quality of overall project.The recommendation for key responsibilities are provided according to the condition of Myanmar and capability of each parties. As the project is grant project, some responsibilities are not necessary to fulfill and which are eliminate from key responsibilities and the further study for the other international project such as ODA loan project are recommended. The owner which is MOC have a lot of defect to improve the quality of the project by taking consulting of expert with the joint venture agreement of international association in each management field in order to improve the quality of construction project under MOC.
