Abstract | In recent years, Vietnam financial health has a positive change. The total cost of the medical society for increased rapidly. In the period 2002 –2011, the growth rate of health spending on average 6 % annually. Total health expenditure to GDP increased over the years and reached 7 % of GDP in 2007, higher than some countries in the region. The proportion of public financing in total health expenditure increased significantly, rising from 20 % in 2000 to 40 % in 2007. Vietnam has decided to increase government spending on health care, the growth rate for the state budget to annual medical cost higher than the average state budget. With the development of the economic and population, the primary target of state-own health facility system would be to provide basic health care services popularly, and the private sector should take a larger part in providing high quality health care services for the middle and high income people.
