AbstractDrainage system is an important part of water infrastructure system that determines the capacity of runoff and water flow transportation . Sustaining an acceptation risk of storm flooding is one of the key objectives in operational planning and management for drainage systems, especially in urbans and cities. This is because flooding causes multi - dimensional damages, which include social discomfort, economical cost and even political loss. In this study, a drainage - modelling tool was executed to evaluate the capability of drain age system taking into account of real time rainfall forecasting . Real time modelling of drainage system is a kind of online solution helped to evaluate the response o f the drainage system under various weather conditions as well as to check the efficiency of emergency operations plans. Field experiment s carried out f or measure rainfall and runoff discharge from October to November 2016. The observed data used to compute to runoff coefficient and to calibrate the model . Moreover, t he drainage system in AIT were simulated by using MOUSE model including 137 nodes , 199 L ink s, connection one weir and ponds . Based on the model computation and the field surveying, the result found that both ponds inside AIT and perimeter ponds played as an important role for the main storage of storm water management in AIT. Real Time operational forecasting and control in Mike operation was calculated the runoff discharge of each catchment areas and it able to calculate the water level in every nodes of drainage systems. The calculation of runoff and water level are done continually in rea l time from start from the pass time through the present and be able to give the result of runoff and water level in the future forecasted. The water level and runoff discharge in AIT are slightly increased and no flood warning
