AbstractClimate change has become a challenge globally specially in developing countries and that’s why it has become an essential component for making decisions for long term investment. Uncertainties in future climate change make it quite problematic and costly to design the structures considering the future climate favoring the importance of resilience and climate change adaptations. As agriculture is an important sector in Thail and which is facing climate change problems and making farmer more vulnerable to climate change by necessitating adaptation . Bottom - up approach is used in this research to get the first hand information by conducting a survey at household level from the farmers . The data was collected in 2015 - 16 at farm level from 208 households consisting of the farmer’s households belonging to Beng Cham Aor and Sala Kru sub d istricts, Nong Sua Pathumthani. The study investigate d the farmer ’ s perception to wards climate change and examines that how farmers perceived trends in climatic parameters recorded at meteorological stations in Nong Sua district. This study also identified the major adaptations used by the farmers, the independent factor affecting the choice of agricultural adaptations and barriers to adaptation. A multivariate probit model for discrete choice was used to identify the main factors that affects the choice of adaptation strategies at farm level and it is confirm from the results that age, income, household size, distance from market, farming experience etc. are the important elements affecting the farmers choice to farm - level adaptation. Level s of satisfaction were also evaluated based on the different quality of life dimensions including income/assets holding, agriculture, social aspects/ community and family characteristics and resulted in that policies should be formulated by the government to support development and research in the field of science and technologies in order to provide necessary assistance to farmers in adapting to changing climatic conditions and enhancing the level of satisfaction. The case of Bueng Cham Aor is the successful story for adopted small scale water resource management in an irrigation project using local knowledge and data system supported by ministry of science and technology so that more water is obtained during drought season.
