| Abstract | “Travel environment in emergency is different from a normal condition. ” As quotation, the planning of traffic in emergency should be recognized with special that is a background o f this thesis. Not only shortest path method should be considered to find the best route choice model for traffic in emergency , but also other factors , such as safety, clearance time, that should be included . Regarding this issue, a network planning for ab normal situation starts to get a spotlight in the transportation field. In this thesis , transportation planning for emergency with dynamic traffic simulation was proposed. T he simulation was applied to analyze traffic impacts from the emergency situations that include d the incident and accident scenarios . The analysis describe d the comparison of escaping patterns to find the optimal departure pattern and the best alternative route for reaching the destination in the flood situation . Moreover, the simulation was also developed to analyze the impact of accident that happen ed on the accidental link and extend to the connected links. Eventually, t his proposed idea was further developed to be an application for traffic planner or traffic officer for a daily traffic operating , especially in peak hour period . Furthermore, some more experiments were conducted t his application to minimize the traffic planning and traffic management cost. Finally, dynamic traffic simulation is introduced for traffic planning in urban areas around the world. |
