AbstractIn this study, the performance tests to evaluate the application properties of wet plastering mortars were developed. They included test of lightness, softness, cohesiveness and stickiness. The commercial product of general plastering mortar, fine plastering mortar, and lightweight block plastering mortar were tested according to the proposed tests. The test results illustrated the ranges of suitable values. Then, the new formulations of plastering mortars were developed and tested with the proposed tests. Finally, the application properties and mechanical properties of newly developed plastering mortars were tested and found to be satisfactory.
