Abstract | Agricultural production is somewhat controlled by climate and climate factor, agriculture is the most vulnerably affected by climate change. On the other hand, food and nutrient are basic need for human daily subsiden ce. Thus, most of concern sector s are challenged by climate change impact s in agriculture. As the Telangana is an agricultural based state , it is highly vulnerable to climate change because agricultural sector is being the backbone of its econom y. Drought is difficult to discussing in forecasting and warning for meteorologists and researchers. Drought is a natural hazard considered to be part of the climate. This study focused on two main parts which are , thorough analysis of available MODIS satellite image s of NDVI and LST and meteorological data in dry zone region in the Telangana . MODIS satellite images were used for Agricultural drought in this study. They were identified using TVDI which is basically a function of NDVI and LST. Monthly rainfall, monthly mean Maximum and monthly mean Minimum Temperature data were be used for defining drought severity and duration, and for predicting the onset and end of periods of drought. In this study drought was identified using meteorological data which is basically a function of RDI. |
