AbstractThis study concerns with production strategy and designing a distribution system for PetrolVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo). The optimization model is used to schedule the production plan and configure distribution networks for the outlook 2012 to 2022 with maximized the profit of Phumy fertilizer plant and minimized transport cost of PVFCCo. Inputs for the model such as supplies, demands, production costs, transportation costs have been analyzed and prepared carefully through the study. The future urea demands of the Southeast, Northeast and Middle of Vietnam as well as of the distribution centers are forecasted by the simple exponential smoothing model using history demand data. A linear programming model has been developed and solved by excel software. The results have been discussed, concluded and recommended. The production planning and the networks for the year from 2012 to 2022 have been suggested for implement in the future.
