Abstract | The training, for a company, especially for the big companies like my company, is not merely sending staffs to participate any training courses in anytime, anywhere, but it should be planned from early of the year effectively. Developing an optimized training plan to satisfy the training demand of various individuals/units under limited resources of training time, training place (domestic or over-sea), as well as budget for training, is a key issue that plays a very important role in the company. The objective of this training plan is to determine the maximum of the number of trainees to meet the training demand, ensuring the attendant of the participants, time for training, training venue (domestic or over-sea) and particularly within the permitted budget. To achieve the above target, in this research we built a mathematical model for the training plan, and then develop a computer program using Lingo (LP) to solve the problem. The model developed here can help the com pany to establish an effective training plan which is believed to bring competitive advantages for the staffs of the company. |
