AbstractControl chart is one of efficiency tools in quality control for monitoring, controlling and improving almost processes. There are many kinds of control chart. They can be classified to 2 groups of control chart, univariate control chart group and multivariate control chart group. Univariate control charts are used in monitoring and controlling processes which have independent variables. In processes which have correlated variables, multivariate control charts are used in monitoring and controlling processes because univariate control charts are inadequate now. In almost chemical processes, they are operating continuously and there are a lot of parameters as flow rate, pressure and temperature, etc, which are correlated to each other. Multivariate control charts are required for monitoring simultaneously parameters and controlling these processes. In addition, the parameters vary continuously in chemical processes. So, there is only one value of each parameter (variable) that can be recorded by sensor and data-acquisition equipment at a given time. Therefore, it is necessary to build multivariate control charts for individual observations to monitor and control a chemical process. In this thesis, the multivariate statistical process control method and its usages are presented. An application of this method will also be presented in Urea unit of Phu my fertilizer plant (DPM)
