AbstractThis research focuses on improving the performance of gas-lift we lls in SUTUDEN field, offshore Vietnam. Well data are collected and analyzed to help find the factors that impact to the flowrate of the well. The main purpose of the research is to maximize the total production rate from wells in SUTUDEN oil fi eld according to the limited capacity of gas- lift compressor system in field. It should be noted that, for some specific time period, there is a need to maximize the production rate of a single well. A mathematical model is then built to help maximize the production flow rate for an individual well. It is hoped that once the solution is proven for the individual well under investigation in this research, it can be also applied to the other wells offshore oil field, Vietnam.
