AbstractThis research project aimed at developing a si mulation model to help find solution for a selective maintenance policy in which mainte nance decisions are made based on the ages of the components in the system. The main concern of the examined maintenance policy is to select a set of machines/equipments to be maintained with appropriate maintenance actions during a limited maintenance time so as to maximize system availability under maintenance cost constraint. The simulation model in this research proj ect was developed by us e of @RISKOptimizer package and then applied for a real main tenance problem at Sony Vietnam Company (SOVINA). From numerical results, some conc lusions on effects of input parameters as well as some recommendations were also derived.
