Abstract | Pulsed ultra violet sterilizing technique is one o f the new emerging sterilization techniques in packaging processing field. It gives a better cleanliness level and wider applications when compare with continuous ultra vio let sterilizing technique. Consider of using pulse ultra violet sterilization with milk pa ckaging containers is another application that reasonable to be focused. In this study, a gro up of successful experiments in using PUV to inactivate various types of microorganisms a re selected to test with the target bottle by CAE heat transfer simulation. The bottle’ s service temperature and its additives melting temperature are used as the criterion of se lecting the appropriate PUV treatment for the target bottle. Meanwhile, the optimizing pr ocess is also utilized together within this step. As a result, the optimum treatment of PUV ste rilization can be established regarding to the target sterility and the safeness of the tar get bottle after treated with selected PUV treatment. |
